This course is designed for people who want a more intensive programme of study. In addition to  18 hours of General English students have an extra 5 hours tuition per week choosing from a range of options which will include some or all of the following:

• General English Communication - development of listening and speaking skills by means of role play and discussion; includes practice in social, conversational, colloquial and idiomatic English.
• Communication Skills for Business - development of listening and speaking skills in a business context, improvement of skills for meetings, negotiations, interviews, telephoning, etc., and, of course, building a good business vocabulary.
• IELTS Preparation - for those considering doing a university or college course in an English-speaking country
• TOEIC Preparation - for those living or working in an English Language environment
• Cambridge Examination Preparation - FCE, CAE, CPE  (not available from mid-June to early September)
• Sports - a popular summer pursuit but with a serious educational content. With the help of sports- loving teachers you too will be able to talk in English about the complex rules of cricket, tennis and soccer. Learning by doing!
• Pop Music - explore the history of pop in English and improve your vocabulary, grammar and colloquial English by singing along with your music-loving, guitar playing teachers.
• Literature - for lovers of English and American literature
• English Culture and Traditions - while you are in England this is an ideal opportunity to learn more about the people who surround you and their customs. It all helps to promote international understanding.

Course Factifile

• maximum class size: 10,  but 12 in July and August.
• average class size:  6/8, but 9/10 in July and August.
• minimum age: 16, but more than 50% will probably be aged between 25 and 50, or older
• all levels, from elementary to advanced.
• timetable:  5 mornings and 3 afternoons on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. The additional 5 hours on Wednesday and Thursday afternoons enable you to choose from a range of options or special focus courses.
• minimu length of course:  2 weeks
• Students will be expected to do homework each evening.

The accommodation options are of extremely high quality and offer something to suit all tastes and budgets.  Low season rates are from 1st January to 26th June, and from 28th August to 17th December, 2011.  High season rates are from 26th June to 27th August, 2011.

• Homestay - three categories - 3 star, 4 star and 5 star.

An administration fee of £30 is payable on all homestay bookings.

• Student Residence located very close to the school - single rooms with private bathroom are available throughout the year. Kitchen and recreational facilities are provided plus free wireless internet. Suitable for Age group 20 to 30.
• Cedar Cottage apartments - 2 two-bedroomed self-catering apartments, for sole occupancy, flat sharing, or for a small family with two young children.  Both apartments are fully equipped and have wireless internet connection.
• Rosa apartment - a de-luxe sea-view apartment, fully equipped and with wireless internet connection, about 15 minutes' walk from the school and 5 minutes from the town centre and harbour. It has a garden terrace and private parking, and is suitable for individuals, couples or small families with two young children.
• The school's own Hotel Residence which is virtually opposite the school. It has 11 bedrooms, some with sea-view, free wireless internet, a study room with guest computer and a garden with a sunny terrace facing the sea . This lovely little bed and breakfast hotel is ideal for clients wanting a comfortable hotel with a friendly atmosphere, close to the town centre and just across the road from the school. You have privacy and independence but at the same time the opportunity of getting together with the other international guests in the hotel.
